The north gate of Utah County
Lehi is where Salt Lake County hands off to Utah County. I-15 runs straight through it at the Point of the Mountain, and Pioneer Crossing, which is SR-145, cuts west toward the lake communities. Almost everything moving between the two counties passes through Lehi.

Lehi is the heart of what everyone calls Silicon Slopes. The tech campuses packed along the I-15 corridor here have turned a former farm town into a major business district. That kind of operation generates a steady stream of freight, and a lot of it is the awkward, time-sensitive kind.
Oversized components, equipment moving between buildings, and one-off parts a project cannot wait on all move better on a hotshot truck than on a shared trailer. Odd or urgent is the whole point of the format. One driver, straight through, picked up on short notice.
A build-out that never stops
For all the tech, Lehi is first and foremost a construction town right now, and the building does not let up. The Traverse Mountain community keeps climbing the benches on the northeast side, commercial pads keep filling in around Thanksgiving Point, and new subdivisions and offices break ground faster than the roads can keep up.
All of that building runs on delivered material. Lumber, pipe, scaffolding, and palletized stock to the active sites, compact equipment shuttling between yards and jobs, and short-notice runs when a crew is stalled waiting on one piece. We haul it straight to the pad, including onto half-built roads a full semi cannot reach, and we photograph the load before tarping and at the drop so condition is documented. When a site is stalled, the material showing up fast is the difference between a crew working and a crew standing around.
Moving through the boom
The flip side of that growth is that Lehi is under construction everywhere at once, and the traffic shows it. The freeway interchanges, the Pioneer Crossing corridor, and the streets around the tech campuses can all bog down, and job sites are often half-finished lots without real road access yet.
A right-sized truck is a real advantage in that mess. We are not fighting a 53-foot trailer through interchange construction or trying to turn one into a raw dirt pad.
